In the jungle, the mighty jungle...

... the ex-pats find a rather pleasant lodge selling lunch. It may have taken six months for us to make the epic 15 minute taxi ride up the road to Colo-I-Suva forest park, but it was worth the wait.

A network of paths through dense woodland follows a series of waterfalls and pools. When we visited it rained hard, but on a good day the pools are popular with local children who come to swim.

One of the pools was used the in film "Anaconda II". We didn't see J-Lo during our trip, but we did figure out why they chose the spot. Just 15 minutes walk away was a lovely restaurant serving cold beer and pizzas by a lilly-pad fringed lake. Very colonial.
